Embraer announced its new executive jets, the Praetor 600E and Praetor 500E, on Tuesday (24), introducing innovative technology that helps reduce turbulence.
According to Olhar Digital, both aircraft use full fly-by-wire technology, which converts the pilot’s manual inputs into digital signals that control the movable wing surfaces, replacing mechanical systems based on cables and pulleys.
This allows the computer to adjust the flight in real time to smooth out wind-induced oscillations, helping to reduce turbulence. In addition, the system enhances safety by reducing pilot workload and structural wear on the aircraft.
In terms of safety, both the Praetor 600E and the Praetor 500E are equipped with the Runway Overrun Awareness and Alerting System (ROAAS), which monitors landings and warns the pilot through visual and audible alerts if there is a risk that the aircraft may not be able to stop within the available runway length.
Regarding performance, the Praetor 600E has a range of 7,441 km, while the Praetor 500E can fly up to 6,186 km. To support long journeys, both aircraft feature seat design enhancements, including lumbar support for improved body comfort and electric adjustments.
As an optional feature, buyers of a Praetor 600E can add the Smart Window, a 42-inch OLED 4K touchscreen that functions as a monitor for both video calls and entertainment.
Other optional items include stone flooring in selected areas and customizable RGB lighting systems.
The base price of the 500E is US$21.6 million, while the 600E starts at US$25.7 million. Embraer expects the first deliveries to begin in 2029.
