“The Su-34 has distinguished itself in the special military operation zone in the best possible way. It is an excellent air platform with great potential for the future, equipped with a wide range of weapons and capable of employing advanced means of destruction to accomplish assigned missions,” said a pilot of the Russian Aerospace Forces.
The Su-34 is designed to strike ground and air targets, including infrastructure protected by air defense systems, at long distances from its base airfield.
In addition to its primary role as a fighter-bomber, the aircraft can also perform air reconnaissance missions.

Representatives from Rostec emphasized the model’s continued importance to Russian forces:
“The Su-34 has become one of the symbols of the strike power of Russian tactical aviation. It is a reliable aircraft with an impressive flight range and a versatile arsenal — from conventional bombs to high-precision missiles. On the battlefield, the Su-34 repeatedly proves its status as a ‘workhorse,’ capable of destroying aerial targets and accurately striking heavily protected infrastructure. Rostec manufacturers are committed to ensuring regular deliveries under the State Defense Order.”

The arrival of new aircraft allows Russia to replace units of this type that are being lost in the war against Ukraine.
