With 580 hp and styling inspired by the legendary Concept One, the BP25 S2000 blends the spirit of 2000s Japanese tuning with cutting-edge technology and modern engineering.

Las Vegas, Nevada — Bulletproof Automotive, the iconic company responsible for introducing the Japanese tuning universe to the United States in the early 2000s, has returned to its roots with a project that embodies 25 years of automotive passion: the BP25 S2000. The debut took place in Las Vegas during SEMA 2025, bringing together legendary JDM names such as Top Secret, Amuse, Varis, Mine’s, and Aragosta.

The BP25 S2000 celebrates the 25th anniversary of Bulletproof Automotive, founded by Ben Schaffer to bring the best of Japanese engineering to Western audiences. The car sports a Lamborghini Balloon White paint job — the same color used on the brand’s iconic Concept One project, which raced at Tsukuba and was showcased at the Petersen Museum in Los Angeles. The finish, executed by Bulletproof Auto Spa, includes gold accents that echo the lineage connecting both creations.

Under the hood, the BP25 preserves the Honda S2000 DNA but amplifies its soul. The specially tuned 2.0L engine by Bulletproof delivers over 580 hp at 9,300 rpm, ensuring power delivery at high revs — a hallmark of analog driving pleasure. Engine management comes from the AEM Infinity 506 system, with components supplied by Amuse, Vortech, and Tracy Sports.

Cutting-edge design and aerodynamics

The BP25 debuts the new Varis Dark Panther Widebody Kit, presented for the first time in North America. Built from 12K carbon fiber, the kit improves aerodynamics by increasing downforce and stability. The car is also fitted with a Brembo Pista brake system — six-piston calipers in front and four at the rear — designed to withstand extreme track conditions.
The BP-RW Evolution CNC-machined 5-axis wheels (19×11) feature a design inspired by the Japanese Tsuchime hammering technique — traditionally used in knife craftsmanship — combining structural lightness and visual refinement. Toyo Proxes R888R tires (295/30ZR19) complete the performance package.

Handcrafted interior and premium components

Inside, the S2000 features black Alcantara with red stitching, limited-edition Recaro RS-G seats, a Mugen steering wheel, and Willans x Bulletproof racing harnesses. The instrument panel incorporates gaugeART CAN digital displays and titanium details by ARC.

“Pure driving pleasure never goes out of style”

“The S2000 is timeless. For our 25th anniversary, we needed to go back to the source,” said Ben Schaffer, founder of Bulletproof Automotive. “The BP25 is a celebration of our love for JDM performance — 580 supercharged horsepower in an analog, visceral experience that reminds everyone why they fell in love with driving.”
