France advances in the use of loitering munitions with automated tests carried out by EOS Technologie
The French company EOS Technologie carried out an automated attack test with its loitering munitions, accompanied by representatives from the French Defense Innovation Agency (AID) and the French Armed Forces. The trial used an inert training warhead supplied by KNDS France.
According to the company, the test is part of the operational integration program for the two new French loitering munitions: Veloce 330 and Rodeur 330, both designed for anti-armor missions in high-intensity scenarios.

Veloce 330: extreme speed for rapid strikes

The Veloce 330 is a high-speed loitering munition capable of reaching 400 km/h and operating within a 100 km radius. It is designed for fast, direct attacks against armored targets.
Rodeur 330: extended endurance and increased range

The Rodeur 330, in turn, stands out for its long endurance: 5 hours of loiter time and a range of up to 500 km, enabling prolonged surveillance and the ability to engage armored targets at long distances.
First deliveries to the French Armed Forces
The first units of both munitions have already been delivered to the French Armed Forces, marking the beginning of the system’s operational adoption.
Starting in early 2026, according to EOS Technologie, these loitering munitions will also be used as interceptors against Shahed-type drones, expanding their versatility on the battlefield and strengthening France’s air-defense capabilities against asymmetric threats.
