According to information released by the Ukrainian military, the site concentrated resources considered strategic for Russian operations in the area.
The 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade stated that the depot was located on Russian territory, near the border with Ukraine’s Sumy region. According to the unit, Moscow’s forces used the area as a support point for attempts to advance.
Inside the warehouse, there were reportedly large quantities of drones, ammunition, and light vehicles used to transport teams responsible for unmanned aerial systems. The brigade said Russia considered the area safe, but the concentration of equipment made it a priority target.
The company Ptashka Drones, which carried out the operation, reported that approximately 10,000 drones were stored at the site and that at least 10 units were destroyed. The company highlighted that it used drones with fiber-optic communication, capable of operating at distances of up to 50 kilometers.
