Operators from Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces carried out a drone offensive against Russian air defense systems in temporarily occupied Crimea.
The main loss was a self-propelled launcher of the S-400 system, considered one of the pillars of Russia’s long-range air defense protection in the region.

The attack took place on the night of February 25, when medium-range drones struck the missile container of the equipment. The impact triggered the combustion of the solid fuel, resulting in the total destruction of the launcher. A second drone recorded the damage at the site, confirming the system had been rendered inoperable.
In addition to the launcher, Ukrainian forces also targeted the 92N6E multifunction radar, responsible for detecting and guiding missiles against aerial targets. The equipment was destroyed near Sofiyivka, in the Simferopol region. Information released by a Telegram channel indicates that the S-400 was protecting strategic facilities, including the Gvardiyske airfield and Simferopol Airport.
The operation also included strikes against Pantsir-S1 systems positioned to defend Russian installations from drones and missiles. One was hit in Crimea itself, while another was located and destroyed near Krasnosilske. Additionally, a P-18 radar was neutralized near Novofedorivka, further weakening Russia’s air defense network on the peninsula.
