The Protector unmanned ground vehicle, developed by Ukrainian Armor, has begun carrying out logistics missions on the front lines of the war in Ukraine.
According to the Ukrainian outlet Militarnyi, the system is now transporting supplies to troops operating in high-risk areas, reducing soldiers’ exposure to enemy attacks.

According to the manufacturer, the Protector was designed to transport ammunition, food, water, and other essential supplies, while also being adaptable to different mission profiles. The platform is remotely operated and was developed to function in difficult terrain commonly found in combat zones.

The deployment of the Protector is part of Ukraine’s strategy to expand the use of unmanned ground vehicles on the battlefield.
The Ministry of Defense plans to procure 25,000 UGVs in 2026 and ultimately aims for all frontline logistics to be carried out by robotic systems. In March alone, the Ukrainian Armed Forces conducted more than 9,000 missions using this type of vehicle.
In addition to transporting supplies, unmanned ground vehicles are also being used to evacuate wounded personnel and perform other tasks considered too dangerous for soldiers, helping maintain frontline resupply while reducing the risk of human casualties.
