Smart has unveiled new images and information about the Concept #2, a prototype that previews the brand’s future compact two-seat electric vehicle.
According to the company, the Concept #2 was developed to reinterpret the concept behind the former Fortwo, prioritizing urban mobility without compromising comfort and technology.
Despite its compact dimensions, the cabin was designed to provide a greater sense of space, with highlights including a full-width bench seat, an “S”-shaped dashboard and several storage solutions distributed throughout the interior. The center console houses the main controls, while the minimalist design aims to maximize the usable space available to occupants.
Smart also revealed details of the new Electric Compact Architecture (ECA), developed specifically for compact electric vehicles.
The architecture will enable a turning circle of just 6.95 meters, an estimated range of around 300 kilometers and a 35.7 kWh battery, features designed to make daily use easier in major urban centers.

According to the manufacturer, the platform was also designed to provide high levels of safety and agility without compromising the use of interior space.
Designed by the Mercedes-Benz design team and produced through the partnership between Smart and China’s Geely, the Concept #2 will make its public debut at the Paris Motor Show in October.
The production version is expected to retain many of the solutions presented in the prototype and mark the brand’s return to the ultracompact urban vehicle segment.
