Based on the updated coordinates, the self-propelled artillery battery “Msta-S” attacked and destroyed the support point and the enemy infantry combat vehicles.
The scouts confirmed the success of the attack.
The teams are coordinated, focused, and determined to win. Each one knows their function within the team and is ready to support a colleague and, if necessary, take their place.
Combat missions are carried out by soldiers who were called up from the reserve as part of the partial mobilization and completed a full cycle of combat training and coordination in the training fields of the Western Military District.
On the front line, they are already fully involved in combat work and inflict daily damage on the enemy living forces and armored vehicles.
Self-propelled artillery 2S-19 “Msta-S”
The self-propelled artillery 2S-19 “Msta-S” is a 152mm artillery system produced in Russia, developed to provide long-range fire support to ground forces. The name “Msta” is derived from the Msta River in Russia, and the “S” designation indicates that it is a self-propelled system (Samokhodnaya).
The 2S19 “Msta-S” was introduced into military service in 1989 and is used by the Russian armed forces and other countries. The system is mounted on a tracked chassis, which gives it mobility and the ability to accompany infantry and armored units on the battlefield.
The “Msta-S” has a maximum range of approximately 29 km with standard ammunition and up to 36 km with rocket-assisted ammunition. It can fire various types of projectiles, including high-explosive fragmentation shells, armor-piercing shells, and laser-guided projectiles. The system is also capable of performing counter-battery missions, attacking enemy artillery.
One of the distinctive features of the 2S-19 “Msta-S” is its high rate of fire, being able to fire up to 6 to 8 shots per minute. In addition, the system has an automatic loader that allows for faster and more efficient operation.
The 2S19 “Msta-S” is a robust and reliable artillery system that continues to play an important role in the long-range fire support of the Russian armed forces and other countries that use it.
