Youtuber Cody Detwiler, responsible for the bizarre channel WhistinDiesel (with 6.2 million subscribers), turned his Dodge Challenger Hellcat with 700hp into a sort of boat.

Car enthusiasts need to be warned that the video of this insane experiment might upset them, even though it has already gone viral on social media platforms like TikTok and YouTube. Published less than a month ago, it’s about to surpass 5.8 million views.

This is not the first time the American youtuber, just over 25 years old, has had the wild idea to torture his Dodge Challenger Hellcat: a few years ago he put toy car wheels on it and drove it dressed as an Amish, just as he had done previously with a poor Ford Super Duty worth almost 100 thousand euros.

To sail the waters of the Gulf of Mexico, the modified car was attached to a pontoon with an ornamental rudder at the front and positioned so that the rear wheels touch the water. The car’s steering is what guides it, and the power of the over 700hp V8, going directly to the rear wheels, is what propels the car in and out of the water.

If the car survives, we are sure this won’t be the end of the Dodge… Detwiler earns a lot from these kinds of videos. A year ago, his net worth was estimated at over two million dollars, and it’s growing.
