Responding to a request from the Ministry of Industry, Energy, and Innovations of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the “Vityaz” Mechanical Engineering Company – part of the Uralvagonzavod Group of the Russian state corporation Rostec – has carried out the modernization of KamAZ and Ural fuel tanker trucks intended for the troops of the National Guard of the Russian Federation.

The work included the installation of protection against drones and shrapnel, using steel plates, chains, and mesh. The modifications gave the vehicles a look reminiscent of the armored trucks from the movie *Mad Max*, combining defensive reinforcement with an intimidating visual impact.

Custom modernization for the “Bashkortostan” regiment

In addition to the fuel trucks, the regiment received a VAZ-2104 adapted to combat needs. The vehicle was donated by volunteers and modified according to the demands of the combatants themselves, aiming for greater efficiency in field operations.

Ongoing support for the military

Since the start of the special military operation, “Vityaz” claims to have equipped dozens of vehicles – both cargo and passenger – free of charge for combat use. According to the company, the next project is already set: installing protection on a Ural NEXT, a large truck with robust traction, widely used by Russian forces in high-complexity operations.
