Considered the most anticipated release from the French brand in years, the electric model retained 95% of the appearance of the 2021 concept. The design, inspired by the iconic original Renault 5, combines retro elements with innovations such as flashing headlights and aerodynamic details.

With dimensions similar to the Clio, the Renault 5 will replace the Zoe and offers five color options. The interior is a fusion of contemporary and nostalgic elements, with features inspired by the original R5, including digital instruments and an infotainment system with Google OS technology.

The RENO virtual assistant, powered by ChatGPT, is incorporated to assist electric vehicle users, offering tips and answering questions.

The Renault 5 is the first car to use the Renault Group’s AmpR Small platform, promising efficiency and lightness. With two battery options (40 kWh and 52 kWh) and three power variants (94, 118, and 148 hp), the model offers a range of up to about 416 kilometers.

Charging can reach up to 100 kW, providing a 30-minute charge from 15 to 80%. The target price for the UK launch is approximately $31,700 with deliveries set to begin in 2024 in mainland Europe and early 2025 in the UK.
