In the clip, Aleks said he received a couple at the dealership and ended up forming a genuine connection with them. “Yesterday a couple came in and the first thing they told me was: ‘We’re not buying today. We’re just researching,’” he began.
While most salespeople would dismiss the situation since no sale was involved, Aleks thought differently. “So we did a test drive and tried the newest model. Instead of talking about payments, price, or anything like that, we started talking about life.”
During the test drive, Aleks learned that the husband owns a pre-workout company. “You guys know me, I like working out. So we started talking about the gym. Then we parked and they decided they wanted to test another vehicle,” he continued.
Aleks then took them on a second test drive in a Murano. “Next thing you know, we’re talking about the gym, life, and everything except cars. As soon as we got back to the dealership, he opens the door and just leaves the car. Next thing you know, he has a box of his pre-workout.”
The man not only wanted to give Aleks the box of pre-workout but also wanted his opinion on the product. “They told me they weren’t buying today, but we still built such a strong connection that he trusted me with his product.”
“It’s not about the sale, but about building that relationship with your customer. What’s more important? The price of the vehicle or working with someone you trust?” Aleks concluded at the end of the video.
