Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs unveiled a new long-range strike unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) called Sichen during Ukraine’s Defense Industry Workers’ Day.
According to the description included in the presentation, the Sichen has a flight range of up to 1,400 km and strike accuracy of up to 20 meters. The drone is equipped with a 40-kilogram warhead.
The aircraft’s maximum speed reaches 200 km/h, its maximum flight altitude is up to 1,500 meters, and its maximum takeoff weight is up to 140 kg. The UAV’s flight preparation time does not exceed 15 minutes.
The Sichen was designed to engage high-value targets, critical infrastructure facilities, and concentrations of enemy forces. It is capable of operating under active electronic warfare (EW) conditions and carrying out missions at operational-tactical depth both day and night.
“It is significant that we are updating this exhibition after just one year — this reflects how quickly Ukraine’s defense industry is evolving and the pace that modern war demands,” noted Andrii Sybiha, Minister of Foreign Affairs. “Ukrainian weapons are unique because they have been tested in real combat. That is our true national asset.”
