A man who had just sold a BMW for $6,000 to a young man in New York is on the run after stealing the vehicle.
The incident happened last Thursday (21). According to the police, the victim reported that he had just bought a blue 2018 BMW that was listed for $6,000 on Facebook Marketplace.
He explained that he had found an AirTag tracker in the vehicle on Wednesday (20), but simply took the device and threw it away.
In the early hours of the following day, the victim, who was inside his house, heard the engine of his car start outside. When he went out, he saw the seller inside the vehicle.
The man pointed a gun at the young buyer before telling him to “step back.” He then fled in the BMW, with a passenger already seated inside, according to the police.
The thief, described as a tall Black man wearing a black hoodie, has not yet been caught by the police.
