KTM India has announced the launch of its new Service on Wheels (SOW) initiative on the legendary Leh circuit, expanding technical support to riders along the challenging Manali–Keylong–Jispa–Sarchu route.
With this action, the brand reinforces its commitment to safe travel and real-time assistance on one of the most remote and demanding roads in the Himalayas.

Now covering strategic points such as Mandi, Manali, Keylong, Sarchu, and Leh, the mobile service becomes a major relief for those tackling the Jispa–Sarchu stretch, where access to mechanics and spare parts is extremely limited.
The KTM SOW provides preventive maintenance, spare parts, and emergency support up to altitudes of 3,800 meters, ensuring confidence and peace of mind even in extreme terrain.
In addition, according to the company, riders have contact points in Bhuntar, Manali, Keylong, and a full 3S dealership in Leh, providing comprehensive service throughout the journey.

Leh–Manali Highway
The Leh–Manali Highway is a legendary mountain road of about 428 km, connecting Manali (Himachal Pradesh) to Leh (Ladakh), crossing four high-altitude passes — Rohtang La (3,980 m), Baralacha La (4,850 m), Lungalacha La (~5,060 m), and Tanglang La (5,328 m) — at an average elevation above 4,000 m. More than just a road, this colossal journey represents the peak of off-road adventure, challenging travelers with steep terrain, extreme altitudes, ice, glacial flows, and unpredictable weather — yet rewarding with truly spectacular views, hairpin trails like the 21 Gata Loops, and the iconic “More Plains.”
Open only about six months of the year — from May to October — the route was shortened and made more accessible after the Atal Tunnel under Rohtang La opened in 2020, reducing the route by nearly 40 km and cutting travel time by more than three hours. A historic and demanding road, maintained by the BRO, it blends natural beauty, endurance, and strategic relevance — a true dream for motorcyclists and adventurers.
