Jeep has just unveiled the Wrangler Whitecap for 2026, featuring a vintage finish that pays tribute to the brand’s classic vehicles.
According to information from Car and Driver, the launch is part of the automaker’s plan to announce one special edition per month throughout next year.
The first special-edition vehicle, the Moab 392, was announced by Jeep last month. Now it is the turn of the Wrangler Whitecap, which will be available in the Sahara and Rubicon trims.
Both can be paired with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine or a 3.6-liter V-6. The former delivers 270 horsepower, while the V-6 produces 285 hp.

According to Jeep, the Whitecap is inspired by the classic CJ, the original civilian-spec Jeep that emerged after the small SUV’s support role for U.S. troops during World War II.
One of the most striking features of the CJ is the Bright White roof, a style seen on early hardtop Jeeps that gives the Whitecap a vintage-car feel.
Buyers can also opt for the Sky One-Touch power top, which features bright white details along the outer edges to align with the look of the hardtop.
Other changes for the Whitecap include additional white accents, such as the panel surrounding the grille and a side stripe stamped with “1941”.

Those who purchase the Rubicon will also receive a Bright White hood decal. Meanwhile, buyers who choose the Sahara model will get body-color fender flares. On the Rubicon, this feature is offered as part of a package.
The Whitecap trim adds US$ 3,185 to the price of a Rubicon, bringing the total to US$ 51,150. The old-school styling increases the price of a Sahara by US$ 2,690, for a total of US$ 53,280.
Meanwhile, the new trim will cost US$ 495 for the Rubicon X, bringing the total to US$ 58,410. Orders for the Wrangler Whitecap are now open.
