Isuzu’s new electric pickup will be officially unveiled at the Commercial Vehicle Show 2026 and will arrive on the UK market with permanent 4×4 all-wheel drive, 3.5-ton towing capacity, and deliveries scheduled for May.
Isuzu UK has introduced the new D-Max EV, its first fully electric right-hand-drive pickup, which will be officially launched at the Commercial Vehicle Show 2026 in the United Kingdom.
The model marks the brand’s entry into the electric commercial vehicle segment with a proposal focused on heavy-duty work, combining zero emissions with the traditional capabilities of a mid-size pickup.

According to the manufacturer, the new Isuzu D-Max EV is the first 100% electric commercial pickup in the UK market to offer a payload exceeding 1 ton, a towing capacity of up to 3.5 tons, and permanent all-wheel drive. Deliveries in the UK are expected to begin in May 2026.
The model uses a 66.9 kWh lithium-ion battery and two electric motors, one on each axle, delivering a combined output of 149.3 kW and total torque of 347.6 Nm.
According to the released data, acceleration from 0 to 62 mph takes 10.1 seconds, while the top speed exceeds 80 mph.

Combined range under the WLTP cycle is 163 miles, reaching 223.9 miles in urban use. For charging, the D-Max EV can accept up to 11 kW in AC, with a full charge in about six hours, or up to 50 kW in DC, reaching 80% charge in approximately one hour.
Developed on the latest generation of the reinforced ladder-frame chassis of the D-Max, the electric version features a new semi-independent rear suspension system of the De-Dion type. According to Isuzu, this solution improves handling, makes driving more refined, and reduces cabin noise and vibration by up to 10% under full acceleration.
Despite electrification, the pickup maintains a strong off-road focus. Highlights include a rough terrain mode, 210 mm ground clearance, a water fording depth of up to 600 mm, and approach and departure angles of 30.5 and 24.2 degrees, respectively.
The new D-Max EV will be offered in eDL40 and eV-Cross trims, with Extended Cab and Double Cab configurations. Standard features include dual-zone automatic climate control, heated seats, front and rear parking sensors, Bi-LED headlights, a 7-inch driver information display, and an eight-year or 125,000-mile battery warranty.

Before its official debut in right-hand-drive form, the model had already been tested in the UK in partnership with National Grid Electricity Distribution, facing harsh usage conditions, including towing and operation on challenging terrain.
For Alan Able, managing director of Isuzu UK, the arrival of the D-Max EV represents an important step for commercial operators and fleet managers seeking decarbonization without sacrificing robustness, reliability, and versatility.
In addition to the battery warranty, the new electric pickup will include a five-year or 125,000-mile vehicle warranty, along with roadside assistance in the UK and the European Union. The brand also confirmed that the model will be available with premium color options, including Dolomite White Pearl on the eV-Cross version.
