A Brazilian influencer is drawing the attention of netizens by presenting his two projects on social media: the “CG Uno” and the “Uno CG“.
Both automotive projects by influencer Marrom are highly creative hybrids between the Honda CG motorcycle and the Uno, a compact car from Fiat.
In videos posted on his Instagram profile, the influencer drives around the city and shows people’s reactions upon seeing his unusual vehicles.
One particular clip shows Marrom’s tension as he passes the Highway Police at a toll booth. Fortunately, he was not stopped by authorities.
However, it is important to emphasize that vehicle modifications of this nature made without authorization are prohibited under the Brazilian Traffic Code (CTB), according to Marco Fabrício Vieira, a traffic law specialist and advisor to the São Paulo State Traffic Council (Cetran-SP).
According to Vieira, such modifications require a technical project, along with the proper certifications and approvals. Without these, the driver can not only put their own life at risk but also endanger others on the road, whether pedestrians or other drivers.
Failure to meet one or more of these requirements constitutes a serious violation, with penalties including a fine of R$ 195.23 (approximately US$ 35), five points on the owner’s National Driver’s License (CNH), and vehicle retention until compliance is ensured.
These strict rules exist because these radical modifications are not merely aesthetic but compromise the vehicle’s structural integrity, which can increase the risk of accidents.
“This case reignites the debate about vehicle customization and the boundaries between personalization and safety, reminding us that on the road, creativity cannot override regulations and the protection of life,” Vieira noted in a conversation with UOL.
