A couple who created travel content on social media tragically passed away in a serious car accident in British Columbia, Canada.
Stacey Tourout and Matthew Yeomans, better known online as Toyota World Runners, died last Thursday (08/07), according to their relatives.
“With unimaginable pain, the families of Matthew Peter Yeomans and Stacey Tourout would like to inform that we tragically lost them, succumbing to injuries from an off-road accident on August 7, 2025, in the beautiful mountains of British Columbia, which they loved so much,” the family said in a statement.
Mark Jennings-Bates, manager of Kaslo Search and Rescue, told CBC that crews had the couple’s precise location when the emergency call first came in, around 7:30 p.m.
The exact cause of the accident is under investigation, but authorities suspect they lost control of the car. One of them was already dead when the rescue team arrived, while the other later died in the hospital from their injuries.
