China Begins Production of New CS/VP14 MRAP Armored Vehicle

A Chinese state television confirmed the start of mass production of the high-mobility armored vehicle CS/VP14 Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP).

The newly-developed CS/VP14 MRAP, manufactured by Chang’an, a division of the China Ordnance Equipment Group Corporation, boasts formidable defensive features.

Designed to withstand 7.62 mm caliber bullets within a distance of 30 meters, the defense level of this vehicle can be customized according to specific customer requirements. Each wheel and the vehicle’s hull have been reinforced to withstand mines equivalent to 8 kg of TNT, meeting the rigorous NATO STANAG 4569-3b protection standards.

With a maximum speed of 120 km/h and a minimum turning radius of 8 meters, the CS/VP14 displays remarkable maneuverability and agility alongside its robust defensive capabilities.

The combination of mobility, ballistic protection, and mine resistance of the CS/VP14 solidifies its role as a significant asset in modern military operations and promises an excellent opportunity for the export market.
