The Ukrainian Air Force has received a new batch of mobile flight simulators for F-16 fighter jets, expanding its capacity to train pilots for combat missions.
According to a report by the Ukrainian outlet Militarnyi, the equipment allows pilots to practice complex procedures without the need to use real aircraft, reducing costs and preserving the fleet.
The simulators reproduce realistic combat scenarios and allow pilots to train in the use of sensors and weapons, as well as how to respond to different threats before even taking off, according to Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense.

The equipment is part of the Air Force Capability Coalition, an initiative supported by partner countries to strengthen Ukraine’s combat aviation. Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov thanked the governments of the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, and Austria for supporting the project.
The new batch arrives as Ukraine expands its fleet of Western fighter jets and seeks to accelerate pilot training. With more simulators available, the expectation is to increase the number of trained military personnel and reduce the time required to prepare them for operations with the F-16.
Boosting F-16 pilot training: Ukraine has received rare mobile simulators to prepare our crews without needing actual jets. These specialized units allow pilots to practice complex combat scenarios, enhancing our ability to shoot down Russian missiles and save lives.
