The Dutch company Dutch Military Vehicles (DMV) has unveiled the DMV Tasman, a militarized version of the Kia Tasman pickup truck equipped with an automated counter-drone system.
According to the website Defence Blog, the model uses a platform from the Kia Special Vehicles division and has received modifications aimed at military operations, including a reinforced structure, blackout system, snorkel, winch, antenna mounts and auxiliary electrical power supply.
The project was developed by a consortium formed by DMV, Allen Control Systems, COBBS Industries BV, Metz Engineering and BeephoniX Defense & Security.

The vehicle’s main highlight is the Bullfrog system, developed by the American company Allen Control Systems. The automated turret uses computer vision with artificial intelligence to detect, track and neutralize enemy drones using a 7.62 mm M240 machine gun.
According to the company, the Bullfrog uses passive sensors instead of radar, reducing the chance of the vehicle revealing its position on the battlefield. The system was designed to counter Group 1 to Group 3 drones, including commercial quadcopters and larger tactical aircraft.
