An accidental leak from BMW has revealed all the cars the German automaker plans to launch in 2027, including an all-wheel-drive version for one of its iconic coupes.

According to the British tabloid The Sun, BMW plans to launch 40 vehicles next year. The information surfaced from BMW‘s official online store in the United States, which accidentally shared details about the 2027 line-up ahead of schedule.

The leaks suggest that BMW is set to deliver a broad update across its existing lineup, ranging from the 2 Series to the 7 Series. Most notably, an M2 xDrive appears to be in development, which would finally give the smallest M car from BMW an all-wheel-drive (AWD) option starting in 2027.

This added powertrain will likely bring a price increase and additional weight, but the manual, rear-wheel-drive M2 is expected to remain on sale alongside it.

Beyond the M2, the leak suggests a next-generation 3 Series with an M350 xDrive replacing today’s M340i xDrive, as well as two fully electric variants called i3 40 xDrive and i3 50 xDrive.

Alongside them is a 2027 iX3 lineup listed as 40 sDrive, 40 xDrive, and 50 xDrive, as well as the first iX4 in 40 xDrive and 50 xDrive forms as a more coupe-like alternative.

At the top of the lineup, the next X5 appears with a rear-wheel-drive 40 sDrive, as well as an electric iX5 60 xDrive, while the 7 Series listing suggests a possible update but points to continued V-8 power with a new M760 carrying the M Performance badge.

Unfortunately, there is no sign of a return of the V-12 engine. The absence of the Z4 and 8 Series is also expected, but bigger performance moves for SUVs and EVs are on the horizon, including an electric X7 variant, an eventual new X6 with an EV version, and the first electric M models arriving by the end of 2027.

BMW is also significantly increasing its focus on track performance for the current M2 with a dramatic M Performance Track Kit, highlighted by a huge swan-neck rear wing inspired by the M4 GT4 and M3 GT3 race cars.

Although BMW has not yet issued an official statement following the leak, the German automaker is expected to begin sharing more information about the vehicles mentioned above soon.
