A select group of BMW Motorrad employees brought their passion for speed to life with the creation of the BMW R 1300 R “TITAN” — an exclusive, bold, and handcrafted motorcycle that blends aggressive styling, raw power, and cutting-edge engineering.
The project was led by Philipp Ludwig as project manager, with contributions from vehicle designer Andreas Martin, color and graphics designer Theresa Stukenbrock, and seasoned prototype builders Paul Summerer and Thomas Becker. United by passion and precision, they built a unique machine made to win.

Aggressive and aerodynamic design
Inspired by the new generation of the BMW R 1300 R, the “TITAN” takes the original model’s visual traits to a radical new level. The tank and fairing lines are reinterpreted into a monocoque typical of racing bikes, with the air duct panel further accentuating the model’s aggression.
The visual weight shifted over the front wheel suggests immediate acceleration — like a predator ready to strike. The 1300 cc boxer engine is the heart of the build, around which the compact structure was crafted.

Details that captivate and dominate

The look is an elegant contrast between forged carbon fiber and metallic blue finish, conveying a modern sense of motion and power.
BMW Motorrad’s longtime partner, Akrapovic, contributed to the development of a custom titanium exhaust system. The exhaust gases exit from both cylinders and are directed to a dual-flow exhaust under the raised rear, creating a powerful and distinctive sound.
Performance boosted by nitrous oxide

Between the two titanium rear silencers, a nitrous oxide bottle stands out, activated by a button. The system injects the gas directly into the intake, giving the motorcycle extra thrust toward the finish line.
The “TITAN” features a special Wilbers chassis with an extended swingarm, ensuring the engine’s full power is efficiently transferred to the asphalt.
Technical highlights include a Magura HC3 brake lever and rear-set footpegs for maximum stability during launches.
