Mercedes-Benz has officially unveiled the new CLA Shooting Brake, marking the brand’s debut in the all-electric station wagon segment.

Based on the new generation CLA, the model arrives as a more practical and spacious alternative to the standard coupé, while maintaining a focus on performance, technology, and driving range.

The new Shooting Brake is 35 mm longer (4,723 mm) and 27 mm taller (1,469 mm) than its predecessor, with a wheelbase extended by 61 mm (2,790 mm). These new dimensions translate to significant improvements in interior space: headroom has increased by 7 mm in the rear (26 mm more than the new coupé) and 14 mm in the front. Legroom has also grown by 11 mm in both rows.

The main trunk offers 455 liters of capacity — 50 liters more than the coupé, though 30 liters less than the previous-generation wagon. However, a new highlight is the addition of a 101-liter secondary luggage compartment — a first for the CLA line — bringing a total increase of 71 liters. With the rear seats folded, cargo space reaches 1,290 liters.

Under the hood, the Shooting Brake shares the same platform as the CLA Coupé, powered by an 85 kWh battery that provides up to 760 km of range — 30 km less than the sleeker coupé version. It will be available in two variants: the entry-level 250+ with 268 hp, and the 350 with dual motors producing 349 hp. The all-wheel-drive version offers a towing capacity of 1,800 kg. A 1.5-liter hybrid version is also confirmed for next year.

Inside, the Shooting Brake mirrors the CLA Coupé with a tech-focused cabin, featuring a 10.25-inch digital driver display and a 14-inch central touchscreen. An optional 14-inch passenger display can also be added. A panoramic sunroof that spans the entire cabin is standard.

Pricing has not yet been announced, but Mercedes confirmed that the model will come standard with roof rails and an electric tailgate. Deliveries are expected to begin early next year.
