Social media videos now show how the MH-60M Black Hawks can be surprisingly used to rapidly intercept and invade ship decks.

In the video: Flying very low and fast over the water, we see one of the Black Hawks passing by the starboard side of the ship in the footage before executing a remarkable braking maneuver, hovering over the bow of the moving warship. The helicopter hovers there, simulating the insertion of troops via fast rope and/or ripping through the bridge with machine-gun fire, before flying away.

The images were recorded from a cellphone aboard the amphibious transport ship USS New York, of the San Antonio class.

Details about where and when the video was captured are still unclear. The 160th SOAR has a well-established history of conducting maritime training exercises and operations with resources and units of the US Navy.
