McLaren has unveiled its new hypercar for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, built to LMDh specifications, a more accessible alternative within the endurance categories of IMSA and WEC.

The model will feature a chassis from Dallara, a twin-turbo V6 engine capped at 671 horsepower, and will be operated in partnership with the United Autosports team, which is partially owned by Zak Brown, CEO of McLaren Racing. Although the design of the car is restricted by regulations, the brand managed to modify the bodywork within the allowed limits.

As part of the initiative called Project: Endurance, McLaren will select an exclusive group of clients to purchase a version of the hypercar. The offer goes far beyond just buying the vehicle: buyers will enjoy two years of participation in international racing events with a full technical team, trackside engineers, professional coaching, and behind-the-scenes access to the vehicle’s development.

McLaren’s goal is ambitious: beyond racing with this new model, the brand aims to win the Triple Crown of Motorsport—Le Mans, the Indy 500, and the Monaco GP in the same season. The automaker is already the only one to have won all three races individually and now seeks an unprecedented achievement with its new endurance venture.
