A total of eight YLCT ships are planned to be built to strengthen the Turkish fleet. “Today, we are one step closer to our goal of having a powerful fleet,” said Haluk Gergun during the event. According to him, the second ship of this type will be launched in the coming weeks.

The construction of all eight ships is expected to be completed in two years. The first will be ready for commissioning in November of this year, and the last by May 2027.
