Honda reveals 0 Series prototypes with autonomous driving and futuristic design for 2026 (Honda News)
Honda unveiled two prototypes of electric vehicles from its upcoming 0 Series during CES 2025.
The Honda 0 SUV and Honda 0 Saloon feature futuristic designs, with the SUV being an evolution of the 2024 Space Hub concept, while the Saloon is an enhanced version of the 2024 concept. Both models will be available for sale in North America in 2026, with the SUV arriving first, followed by the Saloon at the end of the year.
Both prototypes have interiors dominated by screens, with a digital dashboard, passenger screens, and cameras replacing side mirrors. Honda also plans to equip the 0 Series with the “steer-by-wire” steering system and electric motors producing up to 241 hp. The model promises a range of about 480 km with a slim lithium-ion battery.
Additionally, the vehicles will be capable of Level 3 autonomous driving, assisted by artificial intelligence to adapt the driving to various conditions.
Honda also announced its new ASIMO OS operating system, which integrates driver assistance and infotainment functions, and has partnered with Renesas to develop a high-performance chip to manage these functions.
The automaker is also creating a charging network in partnership with other companies, aiming to install 30,000 stations by 2030. The system will allow vehicles to charge automatically when electricity is cheaper or more sustainable, as well as send energy back to the grid when needed.
