The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra has just become the first Chinese car to be featured in the simulation franchise Gran Turismo 7, marking a historic moment in the game series known for prioritizing European and Japanese models.
Xiaomi’s high-performance electric sedan gained prominence in 2023 by breaking the record of the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT on the famous Nürburgring track, and now arrives in the virtual world at full throttle.
Equipped with a powertrain composed of three in-house developed motors by Xiaomi, the SU7 Ultra delivers an impressive 1,526 horsepower and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.98 seconds, reaching a top speed of 350 km/h. These sporty credentials helped the model achieve a time of 6:48.874 at Nürburgring, easily surpassing the German rival.
To ensure the model’s authenticity in the game, the collaboration between Xiaomi and developer Polyphony Digital was very close, including a visit by franchise creator Kazunori Yamauchi to the Chinese automaker’s facilities.
In addition to the debut of the SU7 Ultra, the companies also plan to release an exclusive concept version for the game, named the SU7 Ultra Vision Concept.
