A woman who took her truck to the dealership for a service was shocked to discover that they had accidentally sold the vehicle.

Diana posted a video on her TikTok profile to report the incident, explaining how her red Chevrolet Silverado, which she affectionately nicknamed Randy, was sold to someone else while it was at the dealership for some “detailing.”

She explained that she had an appointment scheduled when she dropped off the vehicle at the dealership on Monday morning. Diana parked the truck in the designated area, left the keys, and waited until the next day for a call to pick it up.

However, they never called her. After calling the dealership several times in the afternoon, Diana said that she finally got in touch, but they told her, “I hope you have another vehicle because your truck was sold.”

“I called the dealership that was supposed to detail my truck this morning and apparently they sold it. How do you [expletive] up detailing like that?” she wrote in the text overlay on the video.

Despite the desperate situation, she took a lighter approach in the caption, writing, “As long as they give me a Duramax or a 6.7 Power Stroke for free, I’m chilling.”

She posted another video to further elaborate on the situation. While she initially thought it was just a communication error, it became clear that Randy had been confused with another red Silverado that was scheduled to be sold.

The vehicle, nicknamed Ruby by Diana to avoid confusion in the story, had been left by another customer to be used as a trade-in.

So, the “twins” Randy and Ruby ended up in the detailing area at the same time, and when the dealership employee asked for “the red Silverado,” someone ended up grabbing the wrong truck.

In the end, Randy was handed over to a buyer who, according to Diana, signed the paperwork believing it was Ruby.

Diana explained that part of the confusion may have come from where she keeps the truck’s documents. In the comments, she explained that the vehicle’s document was kept in the glove box, as she believed it was standard practice in case she was pulled over by the police.

So, it’s possible the dealership employees ignored the document, which was hidden among the insurance papers, and they may not have realized it belonged to the wrong truck.

While commenters were advising Diana to hire a lawyer, she said the dealership had connections with family friends and ended up returning Randy to her without charging for the detailing service.
