A 60-year-old woman died of suffocation after being trapped in the window of her Fiat 500.
The victim was identified as Bernadette Delmotte, who lived in Saône-et-Loire, in eastern France. The incident occurred on June 13.
According to local media reports, she put her head inside the car to reach the handbrake, which she had forgotten to pull.
Unfortunately, she accidentally pressed the automatic window closing button, and the glass closed right around her neck.
Delmotte did not show up for dinner that night and did not answer several calls, so her friends visited her home and found her body trapped in the car window.
The autopsy determined that Delmotte died of asphyxiation, and her death was considered accidental, with no criminal involvement, according to the channel France 3.
