The Slovak company Deftech released images of the tests of the new Wolf 25 AD anti-aircraft system, developed especially for Ukraine.

During the trials conducted in Slovakia, the equipment demonstrated its effectiveness by shooting down a drone at 400 meters with just seven rounds of training ammunition, without the need for time-fused projectiles.

Two units are already on Ukrainian soil undergoing additional testing, and the system is expected to enter mass production soon, with order projections possibly reaching hundreds of units.

The Wolf 25 AD features a modern turret manufactured by Valhalla Turrets and equipped with a 25×137 mm Oerlikon automatic cannon, capable of firing up to 650 rounds per minute. The system supports the use of different types of ammunition, adaptable to various mission profiles, including proximity-fuzed, incendiary, armor-piercing, and fragmentation rounds. The chosen caliber offers a good balance between power, weight, cost, and market availability.

In addition to the weaponry, the vehicle is equipped with advanced optical sensors and AESA AMMR radars capable of detecting up to 150 targets simultaneously in real time, with a range of up to 20 km for fighter jets and 5 km for smaller drones. The radars are resistant to electronic interference and operate even in environments with active electronic warfare, as well as identifying enemy artillery fire. This makes the Wolf 25 AD ideal for both static protection and escorting moving convoys.
