A driver was completely shocked after a bald eagle dropped a cat onto her car, leaving the windshield completely shattered.
The incident occurred around 8 a.m. last Wednesday (19) on US-74 in Swain County, North Carolina.
The driver immediately called emergency services: “You might not believe me, but a bald eagle just dropped a cat through my windshield. It completely shattered my windshield.”
“I believe you, honestly,” the operator replied. “I had a witness who said, ‘This is the craziest thing I’ve ever seen,'” said the woman who called.
The operator confirmed the caller’s location and said the Highway Patrol would be notified and dispatched to the scene to file a report on the incident.
When asked if the cat that fell through the windshield was alive, the driver said it was dead and “on the side of the road.”
Officers from the North Carolina State Highway Patrol later confirmed that the driver was not injured during the unusual incident.
