After eight years without significant updates, Volkswagen will finally launch the third generation of the Tiguan.
The compact SUV, which first hit the American market in 2007 and received its second generation in 2016, will be officially unveiled on November 20, as the highlight of the 2024 Los Angeles Auto Show.
A teaser released by the brand shows only the rear taillight, which features a refreshed design in line with the style of the ID.4, Jetta, and Taos models. The new version will be built on the MQB Evo platform, and although it may resemble the European Tayron launched in October, the American Tiguan will have differences in bodywork, engine options, and equipment.
No details about the engines have been released yet, but the base model is expected to have a four-cylinder engine with about 200 hp, along with a possible hybrid version. More information will be disclosed during the debut event.
