VinFast, the Vietnamese luxury car manufacturer, unveiled the Lạc Hồng 900 LX, an armored electric SUV capable of withstanding 400 bullets and the explosion of two grenades.

The car, developed in partnership with Canadian armoring specialist Inkas, promises to deliver the sophisticated look of a luxury SUV with the full security of an armored vehicle.

According to the company, the armor is approved for local roads and meets very high protection standards, capable of withstanding rifle fire, including armor-piercing rounds, but that’s not all.

In resistance tests, the model withstood a simultaneous explosion of two DM51 hand grenades, in addition to absorbing 400 laser-guided shots.

Due to the extra weight from the armor, it received additional performance reinforcement compared to the standard version, but both use a 123 kWh battery supplied by CATL.

Unfortunately, performance is still affected. Even with 455 hp from the motors, it takes 9.8 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h. The standard model, despite having lower power (402 hp), achieves the same acceleration in just 6.8 seconds.
