A YouTuber found a Golf GTI abandoned and decided to do a deep cleaning on the vehicle, leaving internet users impressed with the result.

Larry Kosilla, owner of the AMMO company, focused on car care, used his famous YouTube channel, AMMO NYC, to share a one-hour video of the transformation of an abandoned car.

The car in question was a 1991 Volkswagen Golf GTI in Montana Green, a true gem from the 1990s. To start, Larry gave the GTI a good wash with a pressure hose to remove all the algae and lichen that had encrusted the body.

Then, Larry began a meticulous restoration process of the car. He disassembled the bumper and external trims, removed the engine for mechanical maintenance, and inside, removed the seats and dashboard for a deeper cleaning.

Before reassembly, the GTI received a new layer of primer and Montana Green paint to maintain the original tone. Inside, the cabin was remarkably well preserved, which meant minimal replacement of parts.

Final touches included a Sparco steering wheel and original multi-spoke BBS wheels from the era. After the transformation, Larry took it to Lime Rock Park in Connecticut (USA) for a ride.
