A woman showed a very useful tool she uses to protect her car when it’s parked outdoors on very hot days, but ended up worrying internet users.
Jada shared the video on her TikTok profile. In the footage, she shows the use of a kind of “umbrella,” which is actually a thermal cover that can be placed on the windshield.
“No, because look at this,” Jada says in the clip before demonstrating how to set up the sun protection tool. “So easy, so convenient, so compact. Look. Immediate difference in the heat.”
“I mean, there’s no heat coming from the front now. You loved it. I had to order another one, and it’s as easy to take down as it is to set up.”
Jada then continues her explanation by demonstrating how to take down the umbrella. “All you need to do is fold it, place it by the side of the door, and store it.”
The video has already accumulated over 24 million views since it was posted on August 5, but while Jada focused on the practical functionality of the “umbrella,” most internet users took it in a different direction.
“This goes against all my Irish lineage superstitions, but I appreciate the convenience,” reflected one TikTok user. “I don’t care what people say. I’m not opening any kind of umbrella [inside],” another internet user commented.
Still, some debunked the superstition, claiming it was merely a misinterpretation. “Inside a car isn’t the same as ‘inside a house.’ It’s inside as in a house or building. This is brilliant,” said a third.
