A camera located on the side of Avenida Francisco Salles in Poços de Caldas captured the moment when the woman tries to run but is hit by a cyclist

In a concerning incident that occurred on Sunday morning (21/1) in Poços de Caldas, a city in southeastern Brazil, a 67-year-old woman was hit during a cycling race. The moment was captured by a security camera located on the side of Avenida Francisco Salles.
The footage shows two women attempting to cross the avenue. While one successfully crosses safely, the other, while trying to run, is tragically hit by a cyclist participating in the competition. With the impact, both the pedestrian and the cyclist fell to the ground.
The victim, who suffered some abrasions, was promptly attended to by a rescue team and taken to an ambulance. After receiving medical care, she was released without the need for hospitalization.
Surprisingly, the cyclist involved in the accident did not require medical attention and managed to complete the race.
