The Russian defense system was detected by a Shark reconnaissance drone, operated by aerial reconnaissance officers, who guided the actions of the Special Operations Forces.

The air defense system was being transported by a tractor that stopped in the village of Sarabash (formerly Kommunarivka) in the Donetsk region.

The Switchblade attack drone covered a distance of more than 30 kilometers from the front line to hit the target. Presumably, the Switchblade 600 munitions or an improved version from the American company AeroVironment were used.

This drone can stay in the air for 40 minutes, covering a distance of up to 40 km in that time. Additionally, it has a maximum flight speed of 185 km/h.

The destruction of the Buk air defense system marks another significant success for the Ukrainian forces in their fight against Russian forces, demonstrating the effectiveness of advanced technologies in combat.
