This technological advancement allowed the drone to execute a precise attack against a Russian tank without the need for direct command, marking a significant development in the country’s military strategy.
In the shared images, the destruction of a Russian tank is observed through a coordinated operation between the 60th and 63rd Ukrainian Mechanized Brigades. Sternenko highlighted the efficiency and resilience of the drone in overcoming active interferences from enemy electronic warfare systems, culminating in the autonomous destruction of the target.
The successful deployment of this autonomous drone underscores the potential of independent targeting technology to change the landscape of military operations, allowing for attacks at greater distances even in the face of electronic countermeasures. Sternenko points out, however, that further refinements and improvements are necessary for the widespread adoption of this technology.

The race for the development of drones with autonomous targeting systems is not exclusive to Ukraine, also being a focus of Russian military efforts, especially in the creation of suicide drones. However, the effective implementation of these capabilities has been a challenge.
This incident highlights the transformative potential of autonomous drone technology in modern warfare, especially regarding the engagement of targets amidst intense electronic countermeasures.
