The Unmanned Systems Forces (SBS) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced a series of successful strikes against Russian military targets, including air defense assets, artillery systems, and unmanned aerial vehicle depots.

The information was released by the SBS commander, Robert Brovdi, known as “Magyar,” via his social media accounts.
According to the statement, the operations took place between January 17 and 19 and involved multiple units specialized in precision drone strikes. Among the targets hit was a launcher from the S-300V surface-to-air missile system, initially identified as the 9A84 model.

Based on visual indicators, however, the vehicle may also correspond to the 9A82 launcher, a hypothesis supported by the presence of only two transport-and-launch containers. Another possibility considered is a 9A84 operating with an incomplete ammunition load.

The combat vehicle was struck in temporarily occupied territory of the Luhansk region. This is not the first time components of the S-300V system have become targets of Ukrainian forces. On January 9, an attack on the 9S32M1 guidance radar station associated with the same air defense complex was reported.

In addition, SBS units confirmed the neutralization of a 240 mm M-1991 multiple rocket launcher system, of North Korean manufacture and in use by Russian forces. The exact location of this strike was not disclosed.
This marks the second publicly confirmed destruction of this type of system, with the first recorded on June 26, 2025, also attributed to Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces.

According to the Ukrainian command, the actions were carried out by units of the 1st Separate SBS Center, the Kairos Battalion of the 414th “Magyar’s Birds” Brigade, and the 412th Nemesis Brigade, in coordination with the newly created Deep Damage Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces Group.

The operations are part of Ukraine’s strategy to weaken critical Russian capabilities through deep precision strikes.
