The attack was recorded in a video released by the Serhiy Prytula Foundation, showcasing the effectiveness of Ukrainian UAVs in the war against Russia.

Some of the drones used in the attack were purchased through the fundraising campaign “In the Bullseye,” which ended on October 8, 2024. This initiative allowed volunteers to contribute to strengthening Ukraine’s battlefield capabilities.

Strategy and impact of the attack

In the published video, it is seen that the “Achilles” drone operators specifically targeted the combat module and radar area of the Pantsir-S1, aiming to cause maximum damage. The four air defense systems hit were in combat service at the time of the attack, as evidenced by the operation of the radar stations onboard.

Although the video shows only an objective view of the destruction, it is possible to notice that the impact caused unauthorized missile launches from the Pantsir-S1 systems, suggesting that the drones hit the most sensitive parts of the Russian vehicles.

Darts Drones: Features and Efficiency

The Darts are aerial kamikaze drones, developed by a Ukrainian manufacturer and based on FPV drone components. These UAVs can reach speeds of up to 160 km/h and carry a 4-kilogram warhead.

With a wingspan of 1.9 meters and a fuselage length of 1.5 meters, the Darts feature an engine located in the nose and have a flight range between 40 and 60 km, depending on the payload carried. Each unit costs approximately 39,000 hryvnias.
