The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) has carried out a new delivery of Su-35S multirole fighters to the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS), marking the sixth batch transferred in 2025.
The information was released on the official UAC Telegram channel, which shared images of the aircraft being shipped to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. The exact number of fighters included in this delivery was not disclosed, although at least two aircraft can be seen undergoing pre-production procedures at the manufacturer’s facilities in the published videos.
According to the state corporation Rostec, the new Su-35S fighters were produced under the current state defense order valid until 2030 and are part of Russia’s tactical aviation modernization and fleet renewal program. The aircraft underwent ground and flight tests before official delivery.

“As part of the tasks defined by the Minister of Defense for the supply of highly demanded weapons and equipment, the crews of the Aerospace Forces accepted the Su-35S. We thank the engineers and technicians for their professionalism and dedication. The Su-35S has proven to be a reliable aircraft complex, capable of performing virtually any mission assigned to operational-tactical aviation,” said a VKS pilot quoted by UAC.
Rostec also emphasized that the aircraft manufacturers “have increased the pace of production of modern combat aircraft,” describing the Su-35S as “the most effective fighter in the world today.”

According to the state corporation, the model is equipped with advanced targeting systems and long-range weaponry, capable of performing both air superiority missions and strikes against ground and naval targets, day or night, under any weather conditions.
“The UAC maintains high levels of production for the benefit of the Russian Ministry of Defense. This year, we plan to deliver new batches of operational and military transport aircraft,” stated UAC Director General Vadim Badeha.

According to the monitoring website Oryx, Russia has already lost at least eight Su-35S fighters since the beginning of the large-scale invasion of Ukraine. These aircraft are typically used to provide air cover for Su-34 fighter-bombers, armed with medium-range R-77 or long-range R-37M missiles, used in missions over Ukrainian territory.
