Developed by Roketsan, the Çakır cruise missile was first unveiled in 2022, marking Turkey’s latest advancement in missile technology. Designed to hit both land and naval targets, Çakır is equipped with terrain-following technology, allowing it to fly at low altitudes for effective navigation across varied terrain. Moreover, the ability to alter the mission in real-time — including route updates, target changes, and mission aborts — adds a layer of unprecedented strategic flexibility.
