A striking video captured the reaction of a truck driver who witnessed the sudden crash and explosion of a plane in the United States.

The footage was recorded last Tuesday afternoon (Nov. 4) by the driver’s dashboard camera, showing him visibly shocked as the plane fell and exploded right in front of him.

The truck driver was parked near Muhammad Ali Airport in Louisville, Kentucky (USA), shortly after the UPS cargo plane (United Parcel Service) took off for Honolulu, Hawaii.

In the video, the plane can be seen disappearing from view with a deafening roar, while flames consumed the surrounding area and several trucks that were parked in its path.

The jet was carrying approximately 50,000 gallons of fuel at the time of takeoff. The plane crashed into a petroleum recycling plant south of the runway, causing a fire that lasted for hours and required the support of more than 100 firefighters to control.

At least 12 people died in the accident, but authorities warned the death toll could rise. Three of the victims were on board the plane.

Meanwhile, at least 16 families have come forward to report that their loved ones who were near the crash site have not yet been located.
