Images from the exhibition show the unmanned boats “Orkan“, “BEK-1000 (ASV-10000)“, and “Vizir“.

The Orkan is a compact multipurpose model, capable of reaching speeds of up to 40 knots and has a range of at least 500 kilometers, with a seaworthiness of up to three points.

The Vizir can reach speeds of up to 45 knots (83.4 km/h) and has a range of up to 434 kilometers.

Additionally, Rosoboronexport presented the BEK-1000 surface drone at the FLOT-2024 exhibition. It is claimed that the BEK-1000 can carry up to one ton of payload for various purposes. The unmanned boat also features a superstructure, likely to accommodate a powerful warhead.

Russian defense companies plan to offer their unmanned boats to foreign customers. At the exhibition, it was noted that the drones should be several times cheaper than the warships they are aiming to target.

Naval drones are not new in the world of defense technology and have been used by various armies around the world for over a year. However, it was only with the start of the Russian-Ukrainian war that the perspective on this instrument of war was radically revised.

Ukraine began using naval attack drones in 2022. Also in Russia, in 2023, the Russian company KMZ introduced the naval attack drone Dandelion, which is made according to a design similar to Ukrainian drones.
