A 15-year-old teenager was arrested after attacking a police car with a shovel in a residential neighborhood of Port St. Lucie, Florida (USA).
In a video recorded by the body camera of the officer inside the car, the young girl Amy Chance can be seen striking the hood of the police car with a shovel, apparently without reason.
She hit the vehicle multiple times before the officer exited the car. “Are you kidding me?” the officer said before drawing his Taser and ordering her to drop the shovel.
The teenager stared at the officer before dropping the shovel. She then gave the officer the middle finger and began to walk away, but the officer approached the teen and ordered her to stop.
The officer then instructed her to lie on the ground and placed handcuffs on her. Chance was arrested and is facing a felony criminal damage charge for causing over $1,200 in damage to the police vehicle.
“Regardless of age, resorting to intentional damage to people or property in our city will result in arrest,” said the Port St. Lucie Police Department in a press statement.
