Ukrainian suicide drones carried out a successful attack on the Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant, located in the city of Lipetsk, in Russia.
Videos published on social networks show large explosions at the Russian plant.
This attack marks a significant escalation in the tactics used by Ukraine, considering the distance of the plant from the front line, which exceeds 250 km, and its proximity to Moscow, almost 450 km south of the Russian capital.

The Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant, one of Russia’s largest industrial complexes, is responsible for approximately 18% of the country’s total steel production. There is not yet a real dimension of the damage, but from the images, it is possible to estimate that they were substantial.
Its strategic importance cannot be underestimated, as it plays a vital role in the Russian military effort.
